Meet the Veterinary Team at Adelaide Koala & Wildlife Centre

Picture

Behind every koala, possum, kangaroo or native animal that arrives through our doors is a team of highly skilled wildlife veterinarians and veterinary nurses committed to giving them a second chance.

At Adelaide Koala and Wildlife Centre in Plympton, our dedicated wildlife vet team provides free veterinary care to injured and unwell native animals from across South Australia  -  five days a week, every week. Each patient receives thorough assessment, evidence-based treatment and ongoing veterinary care for as long as they need it.

From emergency stabilisation through to recovery and return to the wild, our Adelaide wildlife vets are driven by both clinical excellence and genuine compassion for every animal entrusted to our care.

Supported by the South Australian Government for core operations and strengthened by community donations, we work alongside wildlife rescue groups and carers from across the state to ensure South Australia's native wildlife receives professional veterinary care when it matters most.

Here are just a few of the dedicated people making this possible......

Dr Phil Hutt

Dr Phil Hutt adelaide koala and wildlife
Founder & Veterinarian

Dr Phil has worked in the Adelaide Region for many years as a small animal veterinarian, but spent much of his younger years in the country working with large animals as well. He has always been a passionate advocate for animal health and has always opened his clinic doors to the wildlife of the region. Although Dr Phil enjoys all aspects of veterinary science he particular enjoys difficult surgeries and educating people on the best way to care for their animals.
