Wishlist | Wildlife Donation Items for Koalas & Native Animals

Donation Adelaide Koala Centre
If you are looking to donate wildlife supplies in Adelaide, our koala and native animal donation wish list outlines the most needed items to support veterinary treatment and ongoing clinical care. As an independent wildlife Centre providing free veterinary care for sick, injured and orphaned South Australian wildlife, we rely on community and corporate in-kind support to maintain treatment capacity and improve patient outcomes. See below for how you can help.

We welcome donations to continue our work - see our Donation Page for ways to help us.

Everyday Supplies Needed for Koalas & Native Wildlife

The following are items that we use frequently and use a great deal of!  All the consumer items can be purchased at your local supermarket.  The foliage is always welcomed as long as you can collect safely and legally.

Not sure if we need something?   Then drop us an email and we can let you know more!
  • Fresh Eucalyptus leaf for our koalas and possums (must be cut fresh and delivered to us within 24 hours of cutting - deliveries during office hours only)
  • Native flowers for birds and possums  (must be cut fresh and delivered to us within 24 hours of cutting - deliveries during office hours only)
  • Fresh fruit and vegetables for our possums and birds (red apples, pears, corn cobs, broccoli, blueberries, bok choy, pumpkin, sweet potato, strawberries, cucumber)
  • Bird seed for a variety of birds in care  (large and small parrot seed) and seed bells, almonds
  • Wombaroo Lorikeet and Honeyeater Mix and Wombaroo Reptile Supplement for our lizards and nectar-loving birds

Currently Not Accepting (Due to space)

Due to our downsizing of our Centre storage at the end of 2024 and our move into Plympton Vet Clinic, we now have considerably less space for storage.  Whilst we appreciate past donations of medical items from human clinics and hospitals, we do not have the capacity to take on excess stock at this time - we simply do not have anywhere to store it!   Please understand that we are grateful for all donations received in the past when we did have more room.

Items such as 1ml and 2ml syringes, gloves (size medium and large) and Hartmann's fluids are the only items we are taking on at this time.

If you do have a lot of medical stock that you think could benefit others, contact this organisation  at the email address:   [email protected]
